AirWolf's Arm-patch -

Here, you see pretty much the whole process of developing the AirWolf Arm-patch / Unit Logo.

The idea behind this "secret" helicopter is that it would be able to operate out of any airport, virtually unnoticed - but be able to carry out it's various missions, fully armed and defended. This 'transforming' concept reminded me of the fable featuring a 'wolf in sheep's clothing' - which became my underlying theme for the Design of this Unit's Logo. Incidentally, the AirWolf typeface I Designed, as part of this logo, became the show's official on-air LogoType - a nice 2-for-one bonus (and complement) for me.
